Doe Eyed

The following pieces of writing are independent of each other. They touch upon a variety of topics and illustrate what they look like from an average teenager’s point of view. I truly believe every teen’s mind in the 21st century is a universe. Armed with world changing ideas and a heart full of hope, the average teen is immensely special. Each one of us is a reservoir of unexpressed thoughts and ideas that we are told to bury because “it’s just a phase”. More often than not, most of our voices go unheard and unnoticed no matter how loud we seem to shout. Consider this, our megaphone.

Who is this book for?

Every teenager whose voice I hope I've effectively captured and every adult who cannot figure out what is going on beneath the surface of their teens.

Why are you writing it?

This book, in some ways, has been 16 years in the making. It also might be a good time to tell you that I am 16 years old. I've always adored writing and creating my own book seemed like a forgone conclusion, the second I wrote my first short story at age 7.
