Chapter 3 :

Bengaluru City Streets

I'm making hand signals to an auto man
so he can get me around town,
as he pulls over for a short bargain
asking how much are you willing to exchange?
But I'm having none of that push and shove
Told him what's fair is also what's enough.

But now he's catching all he can gnaw
Oh we all want the longer end of the straw,
Puts the blame on tick- tocks and intersections,
while inducing impatience and mild irritation
Now I'm pulling out with a certain aggression
cause there ain't or need for any knee jerk reactions

It's often pleasant in the city with some gardens,
When you can't really call it a concrete den,
Although some us might've have just settled in,
its much safer to say we're Bangaloreans.

As I'm walking down a path on the side of the road,
while I'm searching for a drifter to get on the go,
like lady luck came a man in the black and yellow,
responds to my call with where do you want to go?
As I spill out the bait expecting a familiar show,
this one obliges with a nod unlike the cut throat.

Life is pleasant in a city with some gardens,
You see Its not exactly a concrete den,
Although a lot of us might've have just settled in,
to make things clear we're Bangaloreans.
