I wrote this book because politics is about more than simply elections; it's about people, stories, struggles, and the never-ending search for change. I didn't plan to become a political consultant; it just happened because I was curious, the situation was right, and I had a strong desire to learn how power, strategy, and leadership affect the lives of millions.
From my early interest in politics, which was spurred by the political talks in my family, to the ups and downs of working on election campaigns, I have seen both painful losses and hard-fought wins in a political landscape that is always shifting. I worked in war rooms where plans were made, goals were set, and the future was decided. I have worked with politicians at different points in their careers, some of whom were experienced and smart and others who were fresh and eager to make a name for themselves. All of them had to deal with the chaotic, unexpected, and often emotional world of elections.
There is more to politics than just the numbers, speeches, and rallies. There is also the human side. The sleepless nights before an election, the last-minute decisions that have to be made, and the rush of adrenaline during the last few days of a campaign. And at the centre of it all were people: leaders fighting for their reputation and survival, party workers putting their all into their preferred party and leader, political consultants working hard behind the scenes, and voters wishing for a better life.
I wrote this book because I think stories like this should be communicated. Not just to record secrets, but also to motivate those who want to be a part of this important journey. This book is for you if you want to become a political consultant and don't know how to get into the world of election campaigns, if you're a young politician trying to find your way, or if you're a political fan who wants to know what goes on behind the scenes.
