The unexpected

My name is violet, I am 22 years old I have black long hairs and brown eyes. I always thought I was a normal teenager but everything changed. I was coming back home after the college. I saw a child going into forest I chased him thinking that he will be lost in the forest I have to help him. The kid disappeared behind a wall of mist. I went after him as I crossed the mist I felt as if I had crossed a barrier and now I am in entire different world. I heard noises as if someone was fighting I followed that noise and I saw group of people fighting over something. I was very scared I hid behind a tree. One group looked Royal and the second group looked kind of scary they were demons suddenly there were animals in the place of people. I thought I was dreaming I pinched myself but it was not a dream. The fight broke out. There was so much violence, I had no idea over what they were fighting and I was not interested in it. Suddenly I saw a huge dragon that joined the royal group in the fight. The second group ran away. The animals shifted back to the people. Someone in the group said to the dragon-" your majesty how long will we be able to hide ourselves from the human world, this battle with the dark dragon will disclose the secret of our existence in front of human". The person who was dragon he had blue eyes black hairs and he was handsome he looked about 28 years old replied-"we have to hide ourselves the humans will not understand us". Suddenly a person of the second group tried to attack the dragon boy from behind I thought I cannot watch someone die so I shouted -"watch out". He turned and grabbed that person and twisted his neck. Now everyone was staring me. Maybe I made the wrong call. They asked -"what have you heard and saw". I said-"nothing" like they were going to believe me. One of them said-" we cannot leave her she will disclose our secret". I rolled my eyes and said-" seriously do I look that stupid, nobody will believe me even if I tried". I watched the dragon boy carefully he was trying to understand the situation. Finally he made his decision. He said-" how did you cross the barrier only Supernaturals can cross it, you are not human what are you". I said-"I don't know and even if I knew what makes you think I would have told you". He gave me an evil smile and said-" you are coming with us until this is sorted". I was shocked he can't be serious. I said-" what makes you think I will follow your command". He again smiled and said-" I am the king of shifters everyone follow my orders you will come with us", he tried to reach for my hand suddenly there was a jolt of electricity as his hand touched mine. I freaked out" what the hell". He was shocked too he ordered others to take me. Something happened but I didn't understood there was mist everywhere and all of a sudden I lost my consciousness. When I woke up I was in an unfamiliar room. I came out of the room and saw a meeting was going on. I searched for any familiar faces suddenly I was shocked to see my uncle there. He was being addressed as mage Oman. I called him and went to him running and wrapped my arms around him hugging him. He was shocked too to see me there. He asked the dragon boy-" why is she here". Dragon boy replied-"we had no choice she saw everything". My uncle replied-" she doesn't know anything". I asked-" what are you talking about". My uncle said-" there is something you need to know".I said -" first of all tell me who is this dragon boy and why do I feel like I know him". My uncle said-" come with me I will explain you everything". He took me back to that room. I sat on the bed. He said-" that was King Nick whom you just met. He is king of the shifters". I asked him -" are we talking about fantasy world shifters who turn into animals". He replied-"yes, before you ask another question let me complete, you are not human violet your father was a chief mage I am a mage too. Your father died protecting something which is very important and powerful. It cannot go into the wrong hands. Not only your father died that day shifters queen viola also died that day". The dark dragon who is king of the demons wanted that power for himself but that power could only be controlled by the queen they tried to kidnap her but failed in their attempt so they decided to kill her and take her soul so that they could control the power of dragon orb. I had no words to express how I was feeling at that moment. Suddenly there was a knock on the door and a person entered and said to my uncle that he has been called by his majesty. My uncle hugged me again and went. I was confused my whole world had turned upside down. I knew one thing they were not going to let me go. It was evening someone knocked the door I opened the door only to find the dragon boy standing there. I asked-" how can I help you". He smiled and said- “now that you know the truth you must start training to get a better hand on your magic". I rolled my eyes and said-" and who's going to train me dragon boy". He was a little angry but he was also amused. He said-" your uncle is going to teach you magic and what makes you different from other mages that we will find later". My uncle came and stood beside the dragon boy. So I went with my uncle. My uncle told me about types of magic which could be used defending and for attacking. I was listening carefully. He showed how to create a shield to defend from someone's attack. I tried to create a shield but I failed then he explained me that I have to clear my mind then only I will be able to use magic. I did what he said and saw I created a shield around myself. He told me that I can expand the shield as far as I want. I said -" cool". My uncle told me that he will teach the magic to attack some other day, he advised me to practice defensive magic. He gave me a book which had information about magic and told me to read it. As we completed my training session a boy came to my uncle he was about my age. He was my uncle's student. He turned towards me and smiled introducing himself." Hey my name's Derek, what's your name". I replied-" violet". He smiled and said-" nice to meet you". I returned his smile and said-" same here". I was tired so I went back to my so called room. It was night I was sitting in my bed after dinner remembering the moment Nick's hand touched mine. It was like I was lost for all those years and suddenly I found everything. I was confused. Everything was confusing. I was not able to sleep so I decided to go library if they had any. I came out of my room and asked the person who stood on guard duty-" is there a library ". He replied-" yes, 3rd floor". I thanked him and headed for the 3rd floor. I found library there were many books. I decided to read about dragon magic. I found the section containing books related to magic but there was only one book related to dragon magic and it was at the of the shelf so I took stair and started to climb it as I was about to hold the book the stairs got a push and I lost my balance and I started to fall so I closed my eyes. When I opened my eyes I was staring at the eyes of dragon boy deep blue eyes like ocean. The sound of someone clearing the throat brought us back to current position. Nick helped me stand on my feet. I said-" thank you for saving me". He gave me a smile and said-" you are welcome but it was also my mistake that you were about fell I didn't saw you and pushed the stairs. By the way what are you doing here in the library specially this late". I replied-"I was not able to sleep so I decided to read something". He asked-" what do you want to read". I said-" the book on dragon magic".
