Films, Films and Films. I would keep on tying the same word, innumerable number of times signifying my childhood to adulthood craze for movies. As kids we danced on Hindi movie songs on every family function and birthday parties. The songs ranged from the old Golden Era to the latest dance numbers. I mention this because we grew up in a big joint family where Grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents (both paternal and maternal relatives), their grandkids and kids participated in every event. Even today if a joint family function happens, we sit back together and ponder over the ‘good old days’ and try reliving them with Indian Film music and the associated fervor. Growing up I watched movies of favourite actors, Dilp Kumar, Dev Anand, Anil Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Madhubala, Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi, Hema Malini, Aamir Khan and from Hollywood the popular film actors Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Sylvester Stallone, Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie to name a few. Such was my love for films, that I would often go and watch a Hindi film all alone. With a bent of writing I would enjoy watching films and then pen down its review. This book of mine is for every movie lover, who would want to not just watch a Super Duper hit film but also a film which was just made for the sake of carrying forward the Film Industry, well aware of the fact that it will be a flop. This is from the point of the Film Maker. From the point of view of the viewer, simply by reading the book movie buffs wii want to wacth the films mentioned below, if not in the theatre or multiplex but on DVD, Dish Television on Smartphone Movie applications like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.
The book is for any and everyone, who loves Entertainment and Films. It is primarily meant for movie lovers.
I am writing this book with the purpose of reviving the Indian Film Industry's falling image, which is believed to be copying stories from English Films and re-living the era of 1960's and 1970's of Bollywood. Originality of Film ideas is missing. Novelty is also the aim of writing it.
A person who loves watching movies will surely like reading the book but if the book makes a non-Bollywood lover watch even of the films once, my purpose will be solved.
